We can’t see all the stick in the photo but it really is a credit. The bottom portion is decorated with a barley twist which is really crisp and symmetrical. Barry sketched out the handle shape himself, without the need for a pattern and has finished the handle with Yorkshire rose.

We have seen quite a number of sticks being made recently.  I am waiting for the time when someone wants to shape some buffalo horn at the club because they have been banned from doing it at home.

The handle of a shepherds cook with its creator Barry Hartley in the background.

Very competent first effort.
