John Cranmer hasn’t been turning long and gave himself a year to decide where he was going with woodturning, if anywhere at all. He has finally persuaded his wife that it was a good idea to buy a lathe. After all they do have a good residual value.
John seems to have found his niche in pen making although I have seen some of his other work which is progressing nicely. He certainly must have some considerable patience to glue all these segments required to make the above brick effect pen.
Not satisfied with this one, he embarked on another ‘better’ one. In his enthusiasm he started cutting the bocks but forgot to drill the blank first which meant he had to drill the blocks individually.
C’est la vie. Well done anyway John.
