When using machinery in the club listen to it. It will make different sounds when running without load to when it is running under load. When it is overloaded or being used beyond it’s recommended specifications it will make other sounds. Listen to these sounds and get used to them. Any variation signifies a problem. Stop the machine and investigate or consult your team leader.
These simple actions have the potential to save the club considerable sums of money and will also ensure machinery is also fit for use by the next person to come along.
